Award-winning freelance writer with more than 20 years experience of working in regional newspapers and news websites, including in senior leadership and management roles, leading audience, features and what's on teams. I was also Arts Editor of both the Liverpool Daily Post and Liverpool Echo.

My most recent roles have centred on audience development, building loyalty, driving registrations to news sites and newsletters, and overseeing social media teams. I have extensive experience of managing teams and projects, and was a participant on the Journalism Innovation and Leadership Programme at the University of Central Lancashire in 2023.

I am also editor of the North West arts newsletter Stored honey and co-presenter of the podcast Beatles City.
