I have been a professional journalist since 2000, predominantly working for the Liverpool Post & Echo in a range of reporting and senior management positions across Features, News and Business.

I am currently Relationships and Special Projects Editor for Reach Plc's Niche sites including TeamDogs and 2Chill, responsible for audience engagement and project management.

My previous role was Audience Editor for the Liverpool Echo, a role that focussed on reader engagement and developing social media and registrations strategies, as well as leading on SEO and helping to run the site day-to-day. I was also the Echo's Arts Editor and hosted and produced Liminal, a podcast featuring stories of our coastline.

I write a weekly podcast reviews column syndicated across Reach Plc's regional newspapers and co-host the podcast Beatles City.

I have won and been short-listed for a number of journalism awards including, most recently, Society of Editors Regional Press Awards 2019: Highly Commended, Features/Long Read Writer of the Year; O2 Awards North West 2017: What's On team short-listed for Digital Team of the Year.
